Why do I need a disability access audit?

A disabled access audit is often required when lodging a development application to meet the legislative requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992. It is important to carry out an access audit to help protect you from claims of disability discrimination as well as ensuring the project is not held up by having to rectify issues that have been identified by the building access surveyor.
