Construction Certificates

What is a construction certificate?

A construction certificate certifies that the specifications for any development are consistent with the development application consent and comply with the building code of Australia. It must also ensure that all development consent conditions have been met and all required contribution and charges have been paid.

When do I need a construction certificate?

A construction certificate is required after a development consent is issued and before any building work (including site preparation) is carried out.

Who can issue a construction certificate?

Constriction certificates can be issued by a private certifier as well as your local council. Neilly Davies consulting engineers are private certifiers and are accredited to issue construction certifications.
